"Inferior Me"

There is not an inferior seat in the Kingdom of God. There is no hierarchy of privilege or favor. No one is greater, or lesser, than the other. We all know that God does not have preferential love for some, withholding his favor from the rest of us (Rom. 2:11). That is not who God is, nor is it the way He operates.

It is extremely easy to look around “Christiandom” and notice those who appear to be greatly anointed and blessed of God to minister in power. We have all done it; we see the miraculous results and the supernatural impact of others, and then we question our own ministries (and sometimes even our standing with the Lord). It is easy to compare ourselves to the Apostles, the world-renown evangelists, and the service of those honorable missionaries.

Because of our western mindset, we tend to think that God has given the person behind the pulpit (in the spotlight) greater approval and power. Instead of becoming discouraged by this postmodern philosophy, we need to remember the Word of God. God tells us of the riches of His love; God loves us as much as He loves our pastors. God has withheld nothing from us! The Bible states that we “have been anointed” – just as anointed as the Apostle Paul, as Billy Graham, or Joyce Meyer (1 John 2:20; 2 Cor. 1:21-22; 1 John 2:27; Eph. 1:3; etc…).

There is not an inferior seat in the Kingdom of God. There is no hierarchy of privilege or favor. You have the same blessing and inheritance as anyone else who believes in Jesus Christ. Let us believe and live!
